With the iPhone 4, you can connect to and sync information with a host of third-party applications and services. This allows you to maintain the same data across multiple devices. If you have Gmail contacts you want to add to your iPhone, use iTunes

Why is my internet so slow? I’m pretty tech savvy and I can’t figure out why my speed is so slow. I live in Seattle, WA and use comcast internet. My speed tests show that I’m getting roughly 20mbps download and …15 upload? Then, I come home for spring break to vancouver, WA and use comcast and my internet is so much slower. I went to Speedtest.net from my mac on safari, firefox and chrome and got three pretty different scores. Averaged out to about 4.5 mbps download and 1.9 mbps upload. In Seattle, we have our internet set up for wifi and share it with three pc’s, one mac, one cr-48 (google’s notebook – hasn’t been released), a netbook, two ps3′s, 3 smartphones and an iPod touch. Back in Vancouver, we have wireless set up on our desktop (iMac), and whoever is home using internet (currently my Macbook and iphone). The network is protected, so why is it so slow in vancouver? I know it might have something to do with the router, it’s somewhat old (I should probably upgrade – but really, it’s just my parents at home and they don’t need a super fancy wireless n router). It’s a microsoft wireless router that is on the latest firmware. Loading webpages isn’t necessarily slow, however some, like gmail, will take a while occasionally. What I’m curious about is why YouTube videos take ages to load? In Seattle, streaming video (while a ps3 and 2 other laptops are in use – or some variety of them) is totally painless and loads right away. But at home, it takes ages! And nothing is using the network!

Any thoughts would be fantastic.
@DrDave, you’re answer seems the most relevant. @***L***: Although mac’s *//can\\* get viruses (all of the …. five viruses out there for macs? ) – no. Spyware, no. Plenty of virtual memory, and memory already installed is more than plenty. Like I said, I’m pretty tech savvy (hardware-wise and somewhat software-wise (yay computer science major!)). Also, all that would be irrelevant because if I did in fact have issues with your three choices, why would they only affect me in one location – not even my frequent location (Seattle). @Rute, We pay for the same service (my parents lack the knowledge of computer systems/networking/etc – I called comcast, set up the network, etc – they just pay for it lol. In Seattle, same thing. We pay for the same package — I should be getting roughly the same speed in Vancouver as I do in Seattle. It’s literally the same bill – except I don’t pay for phone service in Seattle, just TV and internet. Any other thoughts? I’ve checked the router settin
Just checked the bill to make sure my parents didn’t actually change their service, but they are paying for 15mbps plus powerboost, yet only receive 3-5mbps? Way to go Comcast? lol

Thanks for all the insight, but I think DrDave figured it out..It’s just Comcast.
