There could be many reasons why your iPhone 4S won’t back up to iCloud. Are you getting a specific error message when you try? First get your pictures onto your desktop and into iPhoto (so you need an Apple computer). Plug your phone into your computer, open iPhoto and it should be self-explanatory from there.

Go for the 64mb model. As you are forced to have a contract with a phone company for 24 months the cost difference is really $8 per month. iCloud is a place to back up your data into what i known as the cloud. It starts out free, but as you back up more data eventually you will have to pay for more.
