What is the portrait orientation on the iPhone 4

Portrait orientation on the iPhone 4 is the vertical orientation. Landscape orientation is when the iPhone 4 is turned 90 degrees to its side. !

How do you make your iPhone 4 screen turn

A 3-axis accelerometer senses the orientation of the phone and changes the screen accordingly, allowing the user to easily switch between portrait and landscape mode. Unlike the iPad, the iPhone does not rotate the screen when turned upside-down.

How do you keep the screen from turning on an iPhone

You can lock the iPhone 4 screen orientation on the to the vertical “portrait mode” to keep it from changing. To do so, double-click the iPhone’s Home button to open up the bottom panel of apps. !

How can I lock my keyboard from turning on the iPhone 4

A padlock with a circular arrow around it in the status bar at the top the screen means that the phone is locked to portrait mode and will not rotate to landscape mode. This can be turned on and off by double clicking home so that your open apps are displayed then swiping these icons to the right until your iPod contols appear, you should see an icon with a circular arrow. This icon locks your screen rotation.

Double click the home button and click on the icon all the way to the left. It looks like an arrow in a circle. A lock symbol will appear next to your battery.

IPhone 4 screen orientation? I have an iPhone 4 and I only just recently purchased it around christmas time so it is relatively new. Just tonight I tried turning the phone sideways to text but the screen stayed portrait. On doodle jump, my doodle doesn’t move from side to side when I tilt the phone. Any other thing that involves the phone moving or going landscape doesn’t work. I’ve checked that the screen lock isn’t on, and it isn’t. Is the gyro broken or something? If it is would they repair it or give me a new phone? And if I got a new phone would all the data be on my new one? Thaaaaanks :) ANY ideas of what could be causing this would be much appreciated.
