Claiming I scammed them, when I didn’t.? I recently sold a broken iPhone 3GS to a girl through kijiji (sim card didn’t register, pins broken), and then a day later I got a text from her friend spazzing and swearing at me claiming I scammed her friend, when the ad clearly said BROKEN IPHONE 3GS in the tittle, and that’s also the first thing you read in the first opening sentence in the description.

I deleted the ad because I didn’t want anymore replies from it since I had already sold it that day, but I do still have the emails. I originally had the texts too saying when and where to meet up, but since I sold my phone, my mom just figured she should go and cancel my sim card, get another one, and put it into her new upgraded phone without asking me first, so all those texts are gone.

But the thing is, it felt really sketchy meeting up with them. I realized after that he left me a voicemail saying he was only willing to give me $110 for the phone (Originally $130) since they had to ‘wait for an hour’ BUT I told them that I would be there at around 4-5pm and I got there at 4:59PM, so that was within the time frame. Normally if someone had to even wait, it would be like $5 off the price, $10 max, so when he said that I was thinking … Wtf I made it here 1 minute before 5, which is the time I told you for because I had an appointment that I didn’t know how long it would take for.

Then another thing that bothered me was that he called me and left me a voicemail the next day saying they took it to the apple store, the apple person took apart the phone and it was damaged beyond repair so they wanted their 110 back. I probably would’ve given it back, but their friend was harassing me through text message threatening me saying their sister was a cop and I better be smart to give the money back. And they kept saying I scammed them, when my ad clearly said it was BROKEN, in capital letters too.. It can’t be clearer than that.

So basically, on their side there were a total of 4 people, 2 on mine.
On their side was the girl, the buyer I’m guessing, the guy which was her friend that was with her, the first contact person that messaged me that couldn’t make it, and the friend who harassed me.
On my side was just me and my friend who was my eye witness.

I don’t understand why she had to bring 4 people into buying a phone, and how she couldn’t have taken a couple of seconds to read the description. But if they did call the cops on me, would they be at fault, or me? I still have the emails with the subject saying “Reply to your ad “BROKEN IPHONE 3GS” and all the emails from their first contact person, AND I also have another email from the second highest bidder and he asked about what was wrong with the phone, and I told him every single tihng that was wrong with it. So I don’t think I would be the one at fault here, I think it would be them for being stupid to the point of not even reading the description or even the tittle before buying an item.

Best detailed answer gets the points, thanks.
