How is the iPad 2′s microphone quality while typing? This question comes from a student starting up college next semester. I’m considering purchasing an iPad 2 (or possibly iPad 3) in the coming weeks/months. I was wondering if anyone had any experience attempting to record (a lecture for example) while typing notes.

1. Does the microphone pick up your typing on the screen? Is it feasible/realistic to do both?
2. Can the recorder app record for 50 minutes straight?
3. How is the quality of the microphone when your not typing? Vs. a cheap $20 you can pick up in a super-market.
